As some of you know, I served a Tour of Duty in Iraq in 2004. These men listed below were there with me and were assigned or attached to the Unit I served with. It is said that Freedom doesn't come cheaply. These men, like so many before them, paid that price with their blood.

In all, 193 men and women in uniform died in the 1st Infantry Division area of operations. I wish I knew them all personally and I hope none are ever forgotten. All left behind someone....a wife, a girlfriend, children, parents or at least friends. All were volunteers....all knew that saying "I do so solemnly swear..." could mean their lives.....and they all still stood up.
