I watched a so-called debate between a MoveOn Mouthpiece and a soldier who has served in the War Zone. It was pretty sad really. Mouthpiece was siting 'facts' that were no more than unsubstantiated garbage from an "anonymous source' that was printed in a well known "reputable' news paper (The Washington Post).....if there is such a thing anymore. Said garbage claimed that sectarian assassinations were only being counted if someone was shot in the back of the head instead of the face.
Speaking as someone who has been there and seen such a thing it can be hard to tell at times and no one EVER asked me if a victim had been shot from the front or the back. They asked me for number of dead...plain and simple.
Setting that idiocy aside, the Mouthpiece then tried to deflect scrutiny from his 'questionable' sources by saying "Well, look at the record of deception....can we trust that the General is telling the truth?"
Maybe not but I'll take the word of a Soldier who's been there over someone who wants to say " He's lying....um, don't look at our lies....look at us call him a liar".
I'd take the time to explain more about how pathetic these people are but.....I'd rather spend it keeping in touch with friends who are over there now trying to make it a better place rather than trying to make all of the sacrifices...all of the deaths, meaningless.
