If you want a good scare.....read Debt of Honor by Tom Clancey.
The Movie is pure 100% USDA Bolognium. It left out a lot.
The Book....the book is truly frightening, especially in light of the almost daily revelations concerning just how porous our southern border really is. Who remembers last year when a tunnel was found going into a warehouse that had a working freight crane in it (the tunnel)?
In a day and age where a WMD can be built into a briefcase...when an EMP device can reduce a technologically cutting edge Nation to the Dark Ages we seem staggeringly uncaring about our lack of security. It seems to escape us that there are people out there who want to completely destroy this Nation, its people and its way of life.
Maybe some people do care....maybe.....but it is damned quiet among the masses. Maybe they won't notice or care until they can't watch MTV, play their MMOs or surf the web for porn. Maybe they won't get a clue until more building fall, a city vanishes or all of our little techno-fobs are paper weights. Maybe they're just so caught up in the Soap Opera that is our Government that they just can't seem to see the clock counting down quietly on the wall.

Ok.....
What in the blue blazing hell is it with every Jackass (and Janeass for that matter) in DC and Hollywood going to Rehab after they fuck up?
Congressman Foley sends inappropriate emails to male Pages and gets busted. Where does he go? Rehab.
Mel Gibson goes off on an Anti-Semetic rant after being stopped for DUI. Where does he go? Rehab.
Kramer goes off the deep end on some hecklers who happen to be black. Where does he go? Come on...I know you know where....yeah.....Rehab.
Miss America gets caught going to bars under age..among other things and what does she do? Goes to...you guessed it....Rehab.
The Mayor of San Fran bangs the wife of his Campaign Manager and guess where he's going now? Yeah.....Rehab.
Don't get me wrong....there are going to be personal and professional price tags for the conduct by these people but the tired olde saw of "I'm sorry...I was drunk / coked out of my mind but I'm getting help at Rehab" has become the latest way for assholes to appeal to the general sympathetic natures of people.
Miss America stayed Miss America.....the Mayor of San Fran is going to stay the Mayor of San Fran. Mel is still going to make movies (albeit crappy ones of late but hey......maybe Rehab will help with that too). Kramer and Foley might.....just might be screwed but time will tell.
I guess you can say or do anything as long as you have the ability to give a kind of convincing apology and run for the nearest Rehab clinic.
